Following a successful outing at the South-South Zonal Eliminations, Team Edo returned safely to Benin from Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Tuesday to kick-start the next phase of preparations for the 2025 National Youth Games (NYG), scheduled to take place in Asaba from August 26 to September 6, 2025.
Top officials of the Edo State Sports Commission held an enlarged meeting with all qualified teams aimed at energising and realigning the focus of the teams.
The session served as a motivational boost for coaches, athletes, and support staff as they transition into a new camping phase ahead of the prestigious national competition.
The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, stated, “The goal is very clear – go get the golds!”
Press Secretary to the Chairman of the Commission, Wilson Edoko, in a statement, said, “With renewed spirit and determination, Team Edo is fully geared up to make a bold statement at the 2025 NYG in Asaba.”
