The hijab-wearing TikTok creator, Adeola, who recently faced backlash over controversial posts, has issued a public apology, admitting that the content was inappropriate and contrary to Islamic values.

In a video shared on her Tiktok page, Adeola, who uses the handle @niqobprintertondoyati said, “I’m making this video to sincerely apologise for my recent videos. After I’ve reflected on those videos, I’ve come to realise that those content, to be honest, they are not appropriate.”

She added that the videos violated both the platform’s rules and her religious principles, saying, “Apart from the fact that they go against TikTok, I also know that they are against Islam’s values, which I strive to uphold.”

The content creator said she had taken down most of the videos that triggered the outrage, noting, “I’ve removed the videos, like, almost all.”

Checks by our correspondent confirmed that most of the videos had been deleted.

However, she explained that her username could not be changed due to platform restrictions, adding, “I wanted to remove it but I can’t do that until 30 days.”

Ajella thanked those who corrected and advised her, saying, “I appreciate everyone who advised me and also reminded me of what is right.”

In an emotional appeal, she repeatedly sought forgiveness, saying, “I’m really, really, really sorry. May Almighty Allah forgive my shortcoming and guide me to always do better. Please accept my sincere apology.”

She added, “I’m really sorry. I’m on my knees. Please forgive me.”

The apology comes after her earlier posts sparked widespread criticism on social media, with many users describing the content as inappropriate for a hijab-wearing Muslim influencer.
