The Super Eagles were captured in high spirits as they celebrated their victory over Algeria after booking their semi-final spot with a convincing 2-0 win at the Stade de Marrakech on Saturday.

A video shared on X by @Caf_online shows jubilant Nigerian players embracing, dancing, and expressing relief after the final whistle confirmed their triumph over one of Africa’s football powerhouses in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final.

The victory has triggered an outpouring of commendations and financial pledges from prominent Nigerians

President Bola Tinubu equally hailed the Super Eagles for their impressive performance against Algeria, praising the players’ determination and tactical discipline.

The Chairman and Founder of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, pledged financial rewards to the Super Eagles following their impressive quarter-final performance in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, also commended the team for their 2-0 triumph, describing the victory as a morale booster for the nation.

PUNCH Online had earlier reported that the Super Eagles will face host nation Morocco in the semi-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
