The Yayi Diaspora Movement (YDM) has commended Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola for what it described as “impactful representation” as he marks three years in the National Assembly, disclosing that no fewer than 53 projects facilitated by the lawmaker are set for commissioning across Ogun State.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the group said the projects, spread across Ogun West, Ogun Central and Ogun East senatorial districts, include roads, ultramodern markets, primary healthcare centres, police stations, classroom blocks and town halls.
According to the diaspora group, the development reflects the senator’s commitment to equitable distribution of infrastructure and democratic dividends across the state.
The Convener of YDM, Olusola Adisa-Adunbarin, described the projects as a “remarkable milestone,” noting that the volume and spread of interventions underscored what he termed practical leadership.
“The completion of another 53 critical projects within three years is an extraordinary achievement that deserves commendation. It is a demonstration of commitment and genuine concern for the welfare of the people,” he said.
Adisa-Adunbarin added that Adeola’s performance had strengthened confidence among supporters, particularly in the diaspora, in his capacity to deliver broader development if given higher responsibility.
Similarly, the Global Coordinator of the group, Adekunle Adegoke, said the projects were evidence that effective representation should be measured by tangible outcomes rather than promises.
He noted that beyond infrastructure, the senator had also implemented empowerment programmes that had impacted thousands of residents across the three senatorial districts.
“The projects across the districts are proof that effective representation is about measurable results. Senator Adeola has demonstrated dedication to development and set a standard for public office holders,” Adegoke said.
The group further claimed that the senator’s interventions in infrastructure and empowerment had earned him widespread support and trust among constituents.
It added that preparations were underway for the commissioning of the projects in the coming days, even as it congratulated the lawmaker on his anniversary in office.
Adeola, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District, has been in the Senate since 2023.
