I want a real man

QueenJoy Dominion, popularly known as QJ, is a name steadily rising in the world of rap and Afro-fusion. The international artiste, rapper, songwriter, and producer is an embodiment of passion, persistence, and purpose, traits that shine through her music and personality.

QJ discovered her love for music at the tender age of five; she found both inspiration and therapy in music.

“Music was an escape from reality for me. It helped me cope, and it also healed me,” she told Saturday Sun.

Today, QJ is a graduate of the prestigious Los Angeles Film School, where she fine-tuned her artistry. Her style, an eclectic mix of rap, soul, and Afro-fusion, is not a contrived choice but an organic expression of who she is.

Her approach to songwriting is as dynamic as her sound. “Honestly, I can’t explain it. Lyrics just come to me… in the shower, in a dream, or when a beat plays. My latest release, ‘Lies Men Tell,’ is a bold anthem,” she added.

Though she’s single, her ideal man must be one who fully embraces the love of God in Christ and understands her career: “I want a real man that acknowledges and accepts the love of God in Christ fully, someone who is supportive of my career and preferably either in my industry or understands the industry to a large extent.”

Asked where she sees herself in five years, QJ assures her fans: “Selling out arenas! Call me delulu, but I will sell out the O2.”
