Fuji music icon, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate said his search for a relationship with God led him to join the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC).

He disclosed this in an interview with Agbaletu TV on Wednesday.

Despite being a Muslim, K1 De Ultimate said he is a proud member of the Celestial Church and even built a branch for the ministry.

“I attend Celestial church. I am a bonafide member of the celestial church. A proud one. In fact, I built a church. I sought different religions while trying to know God in both popular religions. There’s nowhere I didn’t try to find God,” the 68-year-old said.

In January, K1 De Ultimate was in the news over an altercation with some Islamic clerics in the lead up to his mother’s funeral.

He famously coined the derogatory Yoruba phrase “ganusi” in apparent reference to the clerics, drawing severe criticism from other Islamic clerics in the South West and North Central geopolitical zones.
