WAAS rates Nigeria’s automotive market  – The Sun Nigeria

The West Africa Automotive Show (WAAS) has hailed Nigeria’s automotive market, tagging it one of the best in Africa.

The commendation was given during the three-day West Africa Automotive Show hosted by BtoB event with the aim of cementing cordial relationships amongst stakeholders in the automobile industry.

The exhibition,n which started on Tuesday, 12th of May, 2025 at Landmark Centre, Lagos, saw hundreds of exhibitors showcasing their goods and services before admirers and top dignitaries across the globe.

Speaking on the aim and objective of the show, Exhibition Manager, Georgina Lloyd, hinted that Nigeria’s automotive market remains one of the best in Africa.

She however, disclosed exhibitors are pleased to ship their goods down to the country while disclosing more plans are in offing to promote the country’s automotive business to enviable heights.

“It’s my pleasure to welcome you all to this year’s edition. We’ve been doing this for several years, and I’m glad exhibitors know the worth. I’m thrilled to announce WAAS 2025 is the biggest edition to date. We’ve grown subsequently over the years, and this year, we’re bringing you more for Nigeria remains one of the best places to showcase an exhibition of this magnitude.”

“The country’s automobile business has grown tremendously over the years, and as we speak, it remains one of the best in Africa. We won’t relent in our effort to make it bigger, for there are a lot of plans we’re yet to dish out. I urged everyone to trade safely while we enjoy a worthwhile exhibition.”

“We also welcome new delegations from across Nigeria and the entire ECOWAS region, all eager to meet new suppliers and create exciting business opportunities. I would personally like to extend a huge thanks to our sponsors, exhibitors, partners and visitors for their incredible support in making this the biggest WAAS exhibition to date,” she stated.

Reacting to this, President, Auto Spare Parts and Machinery Dealers Association (ASPAMDA), Ngozie Emechebe and Chairman of the show, Luqman Mamudu, all hailed the organisers for staging such an event in Nigeria.

The duo, however, urged Nigerians to see the show as an avenue to enlighten, orient and expose themselves to the latest in the automotive world.

In a similar vein, exhibitors which including Nanchang Minghao Auto Parts Ltd, Qatol plc, Tianhong Power Group, Kale Balata plc, AP oil, Honda Motor Oil, MRS Oil and others, all applauded the organisers for the privilege received in showcasing their goods and services to the world.
