Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by N15, setting new retail prices across Nigeria.

In Lagos, petrol now costs N875 per litre, while the South-West pays N885, and the North-West and North-Central regions pay N895.

The South-East, South-South, and North-East regions will see prices at N905 per litre. These rates apply to partners such as MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde.

Furthermore, the refinery urged other marketers to join its network, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Nigeria First policy, which prioritises local goods and services.

Since starting operations, Dangote has implemented multiple price cuts, including a N125 per litre reduction in February 2025 and a N45 per litre drop in April 2025, alongside lower prices for diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

Despite global crude oil price fluctuations, the refinery reaffirmed its commitment to price stability, stating, “By refining petroleum products domestically at the world’s largest single-train refinery, we are proud to make a substantial contribution to Nigeria’s energy security, foreign exchange savings, and overall economic resilience—aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on addressing the nation’s economic challenges and improving the well-being of Nigerians. We are immensely grateful to His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, for making this possible through the commendable Naira-for-Crude Initiative, which has enabled us to consistently reduce the price of petroleum products for the benefit of all Nigerians.”

Dangote assured a steady supply, with reserves sufficient to meet domestic demand and support exports, boosting Nigeria’s foreign exchange earnings.
