Barely a year since its debut in Nigeria’s cement industry, Mangal Cement is already taking strategic steps to cement its place as a customer-centric brand. The company recently held its annual stakeholders’ engagement forum in Asaba, Delta State, under the theme: “Building Stronger Partnership: Quality-Driven Solutions and Value for Money.”
Speaking at the forum, Mrs. Goriola Oduguwa Omowiwmi, General Manager, Sales and Marketing for Delta and Anambra States, described the engagement as a unique and vital step in fostering collaboration with critical stakeholders in the region.
“This engagement is one of its kind because Asaba and Anambra are key areas for us — we cannot afford to ignore them,” she said.
Omowiwmi reiterated Mangal Cement’s commitment to delivering quality products and maintaining high standards, emphasizing that partnerships with end users are essential to the company’s mission.
“We are here to build quality partnerships with end users. Mangal Cement will continue to uphold quality and industry standards,” she assured.
She also urged customers to give regular feedback to help the company monitor product performance, understand market demand, and prevent structural failures.
“We want feedback — that’s how we can align with the standards you expect and avoid issues like building collapse,” she said.
Also addressing the forum, the Quality Control and Assurance Manager, Engr. Ibrahim Bappa Uba, reaffirmed Mangal Cement’s focus on customer satisfaction and product excellence.
“We are here in Asaba to hear directly from stakeholders and evaluate how our products are performing in the market,” Uba said. “Our commitment is to quality. Satisfaction is key.”
He noted that Mangal Cement commenced operations in June last year in Kogi State, with an installed production capacity of 6,000 tonnes per day. According to him, the company’s core objective is to produce and market high-quality cement.
“We urge stakeholders to alert us immediately if they detect any fault in our products,” he added.
A representative of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Mr. Ernest Daniel, also addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of adhering to best practices in cement usage.
“Without standards, there can be no meaningful usage or partnership,” Daniel said, highlighting SON’s role in ensuring that products meet regulatory benchmarks.
From the stakeholders’ side, Mr. Nweke Phillip praised the quality of Mangal Cement, describing it as one of the strongest currently available in the market.
“As of today, Mangal Cement is strongest in quality,” he stated. “We urge the company to maintain this standard, because end users don’t show favoritism. We go for quality — and if your standard drops, we change too,” Nweke warned.
The engagement forum served as a platform for open dialogue between Mangal Cement and its stakeholders, reinforcing the company’s goal of maintaining excellence, enhancing customer trust, and driving long-term growth in Nigeria’s competitive cement industry.
