Afrobeat sensation, Kizz Daniel has released Uncle K: Lemon Chase, a seven-track project that serves as a prequel to his forthcoming album, Uncle K.
The EP, released under Kizz Daniel’s FLYBOY INC., showcases his signature vocal versatility and knack for crafting relatable and danceable tracks.
With tracks like Police, Black Girl Magic, Peace I Chose, Al-Jannah, Secure, Eyo and Titi, Lemon Chase balances high-energy anthems with reflective moments, offering something for every listener.
The EP features multiple Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo, Zlatan, Fola, Odumodublvck, Bella Shmurda, Runtown, and Johnny Drille. The collaborations bring diverse flavours, with Zlatan and Odumodublvck adding street-savvy energy, Angelique Kidjo infusing a soulful, global touch, and Johnny Drille adding emotional weight, complementing Kizz Daniel’s exploration of love, loss, and personal growth.
Speaking on the new project, Kizz Daniel said he would love fans to see it beyond a teaser for ‘Uncle K’.
“When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it. I wanted this project to feel like real life; sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful. This is music for your heart, for when you’re healing, or hoping, or remembering. I just wanted it to be honest, authentic and true to self,” he said.
Music fans on X have taken up the gauntlet, sharing their unadulterated views about the new project.
