Prudential Zenith Life Insurance Ltd (PZL) has unveiled initiative to nurture financially responsible children in Lagos, a move designed to protect current and future generations from the pitfalls of poor financial knowledge.
As part of this initiative, Prudential Zenith Life opened its doors to the children of employees during a special “Bring Your Kid to Work Day” in celebration of Children’s Day. The event was a vibrant blend of financial literacy workshops, engaging games, and lively entertainment — creating a memorable day of learning and fun.
Funmilayo Abimbola Omo, MD/CEO of Prudential Zenith Life, emphasized the importance of early financial education: “We believe that children are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are also change agents today. By introducing them to vital life skills like financial literacy in a fun setting, we are planting the seeds for a financially responsible future generation. This aligns perfectly with Prudential’s ethos of Every Life and for Every Future.”
Held at the company’s Lagos headquarters, the event offered children a unique glimpse into the working world, while instilling essential money management skills. The highlight was a financial literacy workshop based on the award-winning Cha-Ching model, which teaches the fundamentals of Earning, Saving, Spending, and Donating in an interactive and enjoyable way.
Developed by Prudence Foundation, the community arm of Prudential, Cha-Ching empowers young minds with the knowledge and skills to make sound financial decisions that contribute to lifelong wellbeing and resilience.
Beyond education, the day featured face painting, board games, and music, ensuring an energetic atmosphere where kids could enjoy themselves while learning. Parents and guardians cherished the opportunity to share their workplace with their children, reinforcing a strong sense of family and community within the company.
Prudential Zenith Life’s “Bring Your Kid to Work Day” reflects the company’s people-first culture and its dedication to fostering family bonds, promoting work-life balance, and supporting the comprehensive growth of children.
