Talented musician Adekunle David Daodu, popularly known as Raindrop, has shared that his greatest strength as an artist lies in his versatility and his ability to seamlessly switch between Afrobeat, Afro-Juju, rap, Amapiano, and hip hop.

In a recent interview with Saturday Sun, Raindrop, who trained as a mechanical engineer and also studied Military Science in the United States, stated that his musical journey was inspired by his late father. “My father used to play Afro-Juju music every morning, and that became a major influence in my life,” he explained.

With over 13 years of experience in the music industry, Raindrop has released several projects, including “Party Time” on February 1, 2022, “Things” on November 11, 2022, and “Sorry” on November 1, 2024.

“I create a fusion of Afrobeat and Afro-Juju. What sets me apart is my ability to navigate various genres. Going from Afrobeat to Afro-Juju, rap, Amapiano, and hip hop is a unique strength,” he stated.

Regarding his upcoming projects, Raindrop announced, “I will be releasing a single soon on August 1st, and I am looking forward to collaborating with hot new talents and other prominent artists both in Nigeria and abroad.”

Originally from Ondo State, Nigeria, Raindrop also hinted at an upcoming collaborative project and revealed that he is currently working on a new album. “My best is yet to come. I promise to continue delivering better and more danceable music for my fans in the years ahead,” he added.
