Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie said Nigerians do not hate President Bola Tinubu but only want him to address hardship and insecurity in the country.

Edochie, a staunch Tinubu supporter, stated this in a Facebook post on Monday.

The Tinubu presidency has come under intense pressure in the last few days to address attacks in Benue.

In recent statements, the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a group, the United Actions For Democracy (UAD) had faulted the president’s handling of the security situation, with the latter demanding Tinubu’s immediate resignation.

However, Edochie said the criticism directed at the president stemmed from frustration with the current situation rather than hatred for Tinubu.

The actor scored Tinubu high on infrastructure and enabling policies, asking him to tackle hardship and insecurity to endear himself to Nigerians.

He said, “To my dear President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, Nigerians do not hate you, they hate the situation they find themselves in, which is the hardship & insecurity in the country.

“His Excellency Sir, you have done so well in infrastructure and laid down some good policies.

“Tackle insecurity and high cost of living and you’ll write your name with gold in the hearts of Nigerians.”
