R. Kelly’s fiancée Joycelyn Savage is standing by her man in the wake of her family’s claims about being a sex slave to the incarcerated R&B legend.

TMZ reports that Savage, who released a video on Sunday evening, hit back at her family after they made it clear that they were not in support of R. Kelly’s pardon push.

The family says the embattled singer has never taken accountability for his actions, adding that she is still under his control.

Joycelyn, who denied the claims, shared that she and R. Kelly had been together for ten years, became engaged three years ago, and intend to start a family together.

She is asking members of the public to disregard the “lies” being spread by her family.

“I am not held against my will. I am not a sex slave. I am not brainwashed or any of those crazy lies that were told on me.”

Speaking further, Joycelyn appealed to fans to keep praying for R. Kelly while he remains in detention while expressing optimism that he would be free someday.

According to Joycelyn’s family, they have not heard directly from her in years, something she attributes to her refusal to communicate with them.

Joycelyn maintains that there is nothing nefarious going on; hers is just a fractured family.
