Legendary Nigerian musician 2Baba has revealed a new management team, signalling a major change in his career.

The Afrobeat musician announced the news on Instagram, underlining that the team was chosen to revive and assess his legacy in Africa’s thriving entertainment industry.

In a joint press release, 2Baba’s team emphasised his significant contributions to the music industry, stating that he has revolutionised Afro-pop and influenced innumerable musicians over the last three decades.

“We are pleased to officially announce a major chapter in the legendary career of Nigerian music icon, Innocent Ujah Idibia, known as 2Baba.

“This exciting transition comes with the unveiling of a new management team, carefully assembled to reinvent and amplify every facet of 2Baba’s brand. This move reflects a renewed focus not only on his rich music legacy, but also on the limitless potential that lies ahead in today’s evolving African entertainment landscape.

“With a career spanning over thirty years, 2Baba has redefined Afro-pop and inspired countless artists. His timeless artistry, advocacy, and global appeal are hallmarks of excellence, and this new team has been brought on board to build on that legacy. From music releases and brand partnerships to global engagements and creative collaborations, the team will manage the full spectrum of his career, both locally and internationally,” the statement reads in part.

Speaking on the development, the African Queen crooner expressed his enthusiasm for the transition, stating that the team understands his vision and where they are headed.

2Baba said, “I’m excited about this new chapter. Change is a necessary part of growth, and I believe this team understands my vision, my legacy, and where we’re headed next. We’re not just celebrating the past, we’re creating more magic.”

The statement added that the new team includes top professionals in music, branding, and entertainment law. They maintained commitment to authenticity and social responsibility.

“We remain anchored in authenticity, excellence, and a deep sense of social responsibility, which continue to position the music legend as a powerful voice across Africa and the diaspora,” the statement further reads.
