Popular Nigerian Afrobeat and soul artiste, Emmanuel Okose, widely known as Soul E Baba, has made a highly anticipated comeback to the Nigerian music scene with the release of his new single “Tomato.”

The vibrant track is part of his latest album, “Baby Oooooh,” signaling a revitalized chapter in a career that once dominated the airwaves.

Soul E Baba, who rose to fame in the early 2000s with hits like “Soul E Baba Dey Here” and “E Be Like Say” featuring 2Face Idibia, is once again capturing the attention of fans with his unmistakable voice and soulful rhythm. The new single, Tomato, has already begun making waves, praised for its catchy beat and colourful production.

Born in Delta State, Soul E Baba began his musical journey as a child, performing at his father’s evangelical crusades. By 13, he had formed a gospel group called Soul Brothers with Soul T and Soul D. He signed his first record deal at 19 with Colossal Entertainment, leading to the release of his debut album “Naija Is Blessed” in 2006.

Now known as Nigeria’s King of Soul Music, Soul E Baba has continued to evolve musically. His discography boasts albums such as “His Excellency 1” (2009), “His Excellency 2” (2010), “Speak to Me” (2024), and “African Girl” (2024). His latest project, “Baby Oooooh”, adds new dimension to his Afro-soul legacy.
