Dana Motors targets 18,000 electric cars annually

Dana Motors Limited has announced a bold ambition to produce 18,000 electric vehicles annually at its assembly plant in Lagos, which is being expanded for enhanced productivity.

The plan is part of an unwavering commitment by Dana Motors, is one of the long-standing leaders in Nigeria’s automotive industry, to a cleaner, smarter and more sustainable future.

This move reinforces the company’s position at the forefront of sustainable mobility and green technology adoption in the country.

Currently undergoing a major expansion, Dana Motors’ assembly plant is being retooled, not only to hit the targeted production figure, but also to meet growing demand for eco-friendly vehicles, in line with global automotive trends and Nigeria’s national sustainability goals.

Commenting on the expansion project, Dana Motors Limited Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jacky Hathiramani, said the expansion would not only increase vehicle output, but also contribute significantly to local job creation, technology transfer, and capacity building across the value chain.
