The Miss Tourism Africa and Mister Tourism Africa International Organisation has officially announced Plateau State as the host for the 4th edition of the prestigious continental pageant, set to take place in 2025.

The capital city, Jos, renowned for its captivating scenery and cultural richness, will be the host city for this highly anticipated event.

The international finale will feature 50 delegates across Africa, including 30 contestants vying for the Miss Tourism Africa crown and 20 gentlemen competing for Mister Tourism Africa International. This year’s event aims to promote tourism, empower youth, and foster cultural unity across the continent.

The 2025 edition has received the full endorsement of the Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, through the state’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Hospitality. It has been adopted as a flagship cultural and tourism development initiative under his administration.

Speaking on the significance of the hosting rights, Dr. Raymond Okonkwo, Patron of Miss Tourism Africa, said: “Jos is not just a city; it is Africa’s Home of Peace and Tourism. We believe in showcasing Plateau’s untapped beauty to the world while creating opportunities for young Africans through tourism, talent, and trade.”

Founder and President of the pageant platform, Amb. Seth Santiago Roberts described the selection of Jos as a strategic decision.

“Our vision has always been rooted in using pageantry as a tool for real tourism development across the continent. Choosing Jos as our host city was intentional—its incredible scenery, diverse cultures, and peaceful nature perfectly align with the soul of this project,” he stated.
