The 2025 edition has received the full endorsement of the Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, through the state’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Hospitality. It has been adopted as a flagship cultural and tourism development initiative under his administration.
Speaking on the significance of the hosting rights, Dr. Raymond Okonkwo, Patron of Miss Tourism Africa, said: “Jos is not just a city; it is Africa’s Home of Peace and Tourism. We believe in showcasing Plateau’s untapped beauty to the world while creating opportunities for young Africans through tourism, talent, and trade.”
Founder and President of the pageant platform, Amb. Seth Santiago Roberts described the selection of Jos as a strategic decision.
