No fewer than 50 women drawn from different parts of Ondo State have been trained and empowered by an agribusiness industry, Noble-Eagle.

The training and empowerment were parts of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the group, which is a part of the Johnvents Group, an agribusiness company based in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Tagged “Project Nourish Africa,” organizers of the event trained the women in soap-making skills to drive entrepreneurship and economic independence.

They were also trained in business management, skills for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), packaging, branding and market-readiness.

The Managing Director of Noble-Eagle Industries, Ademola Atolagbe explained that the skill acquisition training was put in place to drive entrepreneurship and economic independence.

He explained that “as part of Project Nourish Africa, the programme equips women with skills, business knowledge and market readiness to contribute to Nigeria’s economy.”

According to Atolagbe, the initiative is designed to equip women with practical skills, that will enable them to achieve financial independence, create sustainable businesses and drive socio-economic development.

He disclosed that the industry focuses on investing in communities, empowering individuals and fostering economic opportunities that lead to lasting change.

Atolagbe said: “Our goal is to empower women in remote areas to become entrepreneurs, driving growth in Nigeria’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.
