Armed with training in acting from Ebonylife Creative Academy and passionate about her craft, fast-rising star, Moradeke Adeniran, appears to have found her strength in roles that truly showcase her range and balance her artistry on screen and on stage. She shares more about her delivering compelling performances, dreams as an actor, and her plans in this chat with Ferdinand  Ekechukwu

Can you tell us a bit about your journey as an actor and what was the inspiration?

My journey into acting began as a child actor back in elementary school. I was active in drama and social activities. I even became famous for playing a character called ‘Peke’. People loved it so much they started calling ‘Peke’, some still call me that till now.

How long have you been in the industry, how many films would you say you’ve featured and also share some of the roles you played?

I’ve professionally been in the industry for five years now. I’ve featured in quite a number of films, but to mention a few: ‘King of Boys 2, My Flatmates, Visa on Arrival 3, Sweat and Blood, Dust to Dreams.’

Which is your most memorable movie role, and what was the experience like?

This was when I got my first lead role, where I played an emotionally abused woman. I was so excited and overwhelmed. The script was so good, and the character was very demanding. I had to do a lot of research to become that character and I loved it.

Which has been your biggest movie appearance/role, what was it like?

My biggest movie appearance so far will be in an upcoming series ‘DS’, where I played Bisola. I loved that character. It was easy playing her as well because we had a few similarities.

Aside from acting, what other talent do you possess, what else are you into?

Aside from acting, I’m a beauty entrepreneur. I own a beauty brand ELBYMO, we offer beauty services ranging from makeup, lash extensions, semi-permanent brows services.

What challenges you as an actor, and is there any role you think you can’t play?

That could be finding roles that truly showcase my range and balancing my creative passion. Yes, there are some roles I won’t play but that’s for personal reasons.

What challenge did you face coming into the industry?

One of the challenges I faced as a fresher in the industry was getting an opportunity to prove myself worthy.

How do you feel about having within a short space of time, in the industry shared set with some of the big names in theatre and cinema?

I feel honored and grateful to God for bringing me this far and to my dear family, who have always been supportive of my dreams as an actor.

What does your brand represent?

My brand is built on a foundation of emotional depth, cultural rootedness, and a demonstrated commitment to meaningful storytelling and creativity.

What’s the goal five, ten years from now moving forward as an actress?

Ten years from now, I’d like to have built a legacy as an actor that extends beyond the screen or stage. I’d aim to have produced and created content that inspires and leaves a lasting impact on audiences worldwide, while also mentoring and giving back to the next generation of actors.

Tell us a about your background and growing up as a child…

I’m from a family of six. I’m the 3rd of four children. I had a beautiful childhood built with love and discipline.

We know you just as an actor, what more about you do you think should be known?

I’m an adventurous person. I like exploring new things. I love to romanticize my life. I like watching movies, listening to good music, and hanging out with my friends. I don’t have a favorite food, but I love really good food. My favorite colors are pink, white, and red.
