Highlife sensation, Otigba, born Onyebuchi Emmanuel Orakwelu, is set to release his much-anticipated single, Okanga Reloaded, on Friday, August 15, 2025.

A respected voice in the highlife genre, Otigba has long been admired for his signature blend of soulful melodies, rhythmic storytelling, and deep-rooted cultural influence.

He first rose to prominence with chart-topping collaborations including Ubi Ego featuring Flavour N’abania (Ijele Africa) and Odogwu Di Na Obi with Kcee (the Limpopo Master). These songs have earned him a place in the hearts of fans across Nigeria and the diaspora.

Now, after a period of creative reflection and behind-the-scenes work, Otigba is returning to the spotlight with Okanga Reloaded, a track he describes as a “revival of our rich highlife culture.”

“This is more than just a return. It’s about reawakening the soul of highlife music — that sound that speaks to our heritage and brings people together. I’ve been working silently, and I’m ready to deliver music that touches hearts and moves bodies,” he told Saturday Sun.

Okanga Reloaded promises to be a fusion of traditional Igbo musical influences with contemporary elements, showcasing Otigba’s evolution as an artist while staying true to his cultural roots.

The release is already generating buzz among fans and industry insiders who are eager to witness what many believe will be a new chapter in modern highlife.
