In a message of inspiration and hope, award-winning Afrobeats sensation Nasiru Lawal popularly known as Nasboi has urged young minds to embrace determination and hard work as tools for achieving success, while also reminding them to enjoy the journey.

Nasboi made this known while unveiling the visuals for his latest single, ‘Friday Night’—a feel-good anthem celebrating resilience, joy, and living in the moment where he featured Galatasaray talisman, Victor Osimhen.

“I want people to know that with determination and hard work, anything is possible. But beyond that, have fun. Celebrate the little wins—we only live once,” he stated.

For the music video, Nasboi’s label Eminent Music joined forces with acclaimed cinematographer Director Pink, crafting a cinematic experience that mirrors the song’s powerful themes.

The visual opens with a dramatic nod to Nasboi’s near-fatal motor accident in Bauchi State during his ambitious 36-state tour. Yet, the moment quickly transforms into triumph, echoing the song’s opening lyric: “Forward ever, never look back.”

This message of persistence sets the tone for a story of rebirth and success. In a powerful tribute, Nasboi sings, “I want to be a baller like Osimhen,” referencing the Super Eagles star Osimhen, a celebrated football icon whose journey reflects similar grit and glory. The music video, which premiered on August 1, 2025, features a cameo by the African Footballer of the Year himself, fresh off his headline-making transfer to Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Osimhen’s presence in the video isn’t just star power—it’s symbolic. Both men, in their respective crafts, represent the heights that can be reached through talent, perseverance, and belief.

“Nasboi is a hugely talented star, and as a label, we are committed to putting him at the forefront of Afrobeats,” says Dr. Wisdom Okoye, CEO of Eminent Music. “This video reflects that ambition.”

Since breaking out with a string of hits in 2023, Nasboi has steadily climbed the ranks of Nigerian music’s new wave. ‘Friday Night’ is more than another banger—it’s a milestone on his journey to the top.
