Victor Ikpeba, a former Nigerian international, has backed the Super Eagles to defeat South Africa and Rwanda, aiming to boost their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
In the qualification series, Eric Chelle’s team has only won one out of six games.
With seven points from six games, the West Africans are in fourth place in their group.
South Africa top the standings with 13 points from the same number of matches.
Nigeria will welcome the Amavubi of Rwanda in a matchday seven encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday, 6 September.
They will travel to Blomfeinteim four days later for the clash with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
Ikpeba believed the Super Eagles will get the job done in the upcoming games.
“There’s pride, determination and honour to play for your country, I believe the boys are now ready and determined to do the job against Rwanda and South Africa,” the former Monaco striker told SuperSport.
The Super Eagles camp for both games will open next week Monday.
