The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, has commiserated with the Chancellor of the institution, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, over the death of his daughter, Hajia Khadijah Kabir-Usman.
The Chancellor and Emir of Katsina in Katsina State lost his daughter, who was aged 35, on September 1, 2025 in Abuja, leaving behind three children.
A statement on Tuesday by the institution’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun, quoted Egbewole, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, as condoling with the emir and the immediate family of the deceased
The vice chancellor described the death of Hajia Khadijah as a sad loss to the Emir, the people of Katsina Emirate and all those whose lives have been positively impacted by her philanthropy.

He said that the deceased was a committed woman leader and philanthropist, whose death would create a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.
Egbewole prayed that Almighty Allah grant the Emir, her family, and the entire people of Katsina Emirate the fortitude to bear the loss.
