While her late father, Raymond Dokpesi, revolutionised broadcasting in Nigeria, Homto Dokpesi is making a name for herself as a trailblazing entrepreneur and cocoa exporter. The woman, who is a director with the Africa Independent Television (AIT), is making the country proud as she is currently showcasing Nigeria’s finest cocoa products at the International Africa Trade Fair (IATF) 2025.
The event, which is fully sponsored by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperative, Trade and Investment, started last Thursday, September 4, and will end on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in Algiers, Algeria. It is expected to bring together over 35,000 buyers from around the world.
Dokpesi’s product portfolio will feature a range of artisanal cocoa products, including cocoa beans, roasted cocoa nibs, cocoa cake, cocoa butter, and cocoa powder.
As an active exporter of cocoa products from Nigeria, Dokpesi is poised to connect with potential clients, partners, and industry experts.
In addition to showcasing her products, Dokpesi will also participate in events organised by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), which will provide valuable insights into the latest trends and opportunities in the global cocoa market.
IATF 2025 presents a significant opportunity for Dokpesi to promote Nigerian cocoa products, expand her network, and explore new business opportunities. With her commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, Dokpesi is set to make a lasting impression on the global cocoa industry.
