The Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade, is truly a remarkable individual, endowed with extraordinary qualities by her creator. She epitomises grace and strength, standing as a beacon of hope and dedication.
Undoubtedly, her commendable service spanning two terms under former Governor Yahaya Bello, unwavering loyalty, deep understanding of governance structures, and exceptional commitment led to her reappointment as the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State under Governor Usman Ododo.
In this role, she continues to leverage her extensive knowledge and expertise to ensure the government operates at its highest capacity while at the same time diligently fulfilling her responsibilities.
Beyond her governmental duties, Dr. Ayoade is a passionate advocate for women’s development. Through her foundation, the Folashade Ayoade Initiative for Widows & Orphans (FAIWO), she has utilised her God-given resources to empower women in Kogi State, making a significant impact on the lives of many. Her commitment to uplifting the underprivileged showcases her desire to create a more equitable society.

Attaining the milestone age of 60 is not child’s play, so Dr. Ayoade didn’t take it lightly as she dedicated the birthday to her Creator and the less privileged.
She did a series of impactful events, including the donation of a new church building, with its foundation laid at the Koto-Karfe correctional centre.
Also, she visited the Rehoboth Orphanage Home in Lokongoma, Lokoja, where she celebrated with the children. During her visit, she brought joy and comfort by donating essential items and sharing moments of prayer and care with the orphans.
Furthermore, Ayoade officially inaugurated the FAIWO orphanage home building, a dream realised through her tireless efforts and compassion for the vulnerable.
Her birthday celebrations culminated in a heartfelt thanksgiving service on August 31, 2025, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of Grace Parish in Lokoja.
