The Director General of the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership (NCSP), Mr. Joseph Tegbe, has congratulated the government and people of China on the occasion of the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival, describing it as a time that embodies unity, reflection, and shared prosperity.

Celebrated for over 3,000 years, the Mid-Autumn Festival remains one of China’s most cherished traditions, symbolizing togetherness through the sharing of mooncakes, lantern displays, and family reunions.

In a goodwill message, Mr. Tegbe said the festival’s essence aligns with the core values that continue to define Nigeria’s relationship with China. “On behalf of the NCSP and the Nigerian people, I extend warm wishes to our friends in China for a joyful and memorable Mid-Autumn Festival. This celebration is a reminder of the importance of unity and shared prosperity—principles that also guide our enduring partnership with China,” he stated.

He reaffirmed that China remains one of Nigeria’s strongest development partners, with collaborations spanning trade, infrastructure, technology, agriculture, and human capital development. “Our partnership with China continues to drive economic transformation and shared growth. Through frameworks such as the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), we have attracted more than $20 billion in investments that are delivering real impact across key sectors,” Tegbe added.

The NCSP boss further emphasized Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to the One-China Principle and highlighted his agency’s role in deepening strategic cooperation. “The NCSP serves as a bridge between policy and execution. We work closely with government agencies, private investors, and diplomatic partners to ensure Nigeria fully harnesses its relationship with China for sustainable national development,” he noted.

Tegbe expressed optimism that the Mid-Autumn Festival would usher in renewed goodwill and opportunities for both nations, reinforcing decades of friendship and collaboration.

“As we celebrate this season of harmony, we look forward to even stronger bonds that promote innovation, peace, and prosperity between Nigeria and China,” he noted.
