Rush Festival has announced its entry into Lagos’ Detty December calendar, with the inaugural edition scheduled for December 18, 2025, at the J. Randle Center for Yoruba Culture and History, Onikan, Lagos Island.

The festival is being delivered in collaboration with Movie in the Park, Don’s Fight Club and The Sunky O Lifestyle Company. The organisers said the festival is an experience-driven cultural event, blending music, film, fight sports and nightlife into a single platform for young culture consumers and returning Nigerians in the diaspora, offering glow-in-the-dark raves, underground film screenings, live boxing matches, and curated lifestyle and food experiences.

Performances and appearances are expected from Aniko, Handi and Wanni, DJ Yosa and DJ Latitude, with more acts to be announced.

Speaking on the vision behind the festival, Creative Director, Kayode Kasum, said:

“Rush Festival was created for a generation that doesn’t just want to attend events; they want to feel them. This is where pulse becomes culture, where street energy meets creative expression, and where Lagos shows the world what modern African youth culture looks like.”

Set to be a highlight of Detty December, Rush Festival promises an experience where culture, entertainment and community collide.
