The Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced the second phase of its nationwide Continuous Voter Registration exercise in Ogun State, urging eligible residents to take advantage of the window to obtain or update their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of future elections.
In a statement on Monday, the Ogun State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mrs Feyijimi Saseyi, said the exercise, which began on January 5, will run until April 17, 2026, across the state.
According to the commission, Nigerians who have attained the age of 18, those who missed earlier registration opportunities, and voters seeking transfer of registration, replacement of lost or damaged PVCs, or correction of personal details are eligible to participate.
Registration can be completed online via the INEC portal at https://cvr.inecnigeria.org or physically at the INEC state office in Magbon, Abeokuta, all 20 local government area offices, and other designated registration centres.
The commission stated that registration will hold daily between 9am and 3pm throughout the exercise.
Saseyi urged residents to seize the opportunity to regularise their voter status, stressing that active participation in the electoral process remains vital to deepening Nigeria’s democracy.
“INEC remains committed to making every vote count and consolidating our democratic system,” she said.
