Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State refused to kiss his wife, Tamunominini Makinde, at a public event.

Despite the encouragement of the Master of Ceremony at the event marking the 50th anniversary of Oyo State, he did not.

However, what the Master of Ceremony had requested Mrs. Makinde to do was to give him a peck.

The governor, who was obviously not paying attention at the time, turned his face away, thinking it was a kiss the graduate of Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology wanted to plant on his lips.

Mrs. Makinde, an alumna of St. Thomas University in Houston, Texas, USA, where she bagged a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) degree with double majors (Finance and General Business) and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree holder from the same institution in 2017, was asked to peck her husband at the ceremony for doing a good job in Oyo State.
