March 02, (THEWILL) — Israel has reported that there were no injuries following claims by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that it launched missile strikes targeting strategic Israeli leadership facilities.
In a statement carried by Iranian state media, the IRGC said its forces struck “the office of the criminal prime minister of the Zionist regime and the headquarters of the regime’s air force commander,” using Kheibar missiles in the attack.
The announcement framed the operation as a response to ongoing hostilities with Israel, although independent verification of the claimed targets has not been confirmed.
Israeli authorities, however, have said that no casualties were reported from the alleged missile strikes and that the country’s air defence systems were fully mobilised throughout the period of heightened alert.
Officials emphasised that protective measures and early warning systems helped ensure the safety of civilians and government personnel.
The reported attack comes amid a broader escalation of regional tensions, with exchanges of strikes and counter-strikes involving Iran, Israel, and their respective allies.
Earlier incidents in the conflict have seen missile barrages and drone attacks result in significant damage and casualties in other parts of Israel, including residential areas, though Israeli leadership sites have so far been defended successfully.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated Israel’s commitment to national security and its readiness to defend against any aggression, while stating that all threats will be met decisively.
Meanwhile, global diplomatic actors continue to urge restraint and dialogue amid fears that the confrontation could widen.
The situation remains fluid, and Israeli defence forces say they are monitoring all developments closely as the region braces for potential further hostilities.
