The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Moses Adeyemo, has directed the newly sworn-in chairmen of the party in all 33 local government areas of the state to immediately inaugurate other elected officials expected to work with them and ensure they swing into action without delay.

A statement released by the state APC Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, in Ibadan, the state capital, on Saturday, also directed the local government chairmen to inaugurate APC Executive Committee members at the ward level without further delay.

PUNCH Online reports that the leadership of the party on Friday swore in 30 of the 33 local government party chairmen, while the remaining three have been cleared to be inaugurated at a later date. They are Ilyasu Yinusa (Atisbo), Wale Oyewo (Afijio), and Sulaimon Ayoola (Oorelope). https://punchng.com/oyo-apc-chairman-charges-new-lg-excos-on-loyalty-fairness/

The 30 local government party chairmen who were earlier sworn in include Bayonle Salami (Ibadan North), Ademola Adelowo (Atiba), Dotun Oladipupo (Oluyole), Rasaq Ajisope (Oyo West), Adeolu Ojetola (Ibarapa Central), Kareem Yinusa (Oyo East), Olawale Olaleye (Egbeda), Kazeem Alao (Ogo-Oluwa), Adekanmbi Olusola (Ibadan North West), Azeez Elewure (Ibadan North East), Anthony Ogunleke (Iseyin), and Tajudeen Asanike (Ibadan South East).

Others are Wasiu Ogundipe (Ona-Ara), Isaac Aremu (Surulere), Kayode Adeniji (Itesiwaju), Lukman Ayuba (Oriire), Oladele Beelolari (Ibarapa East), Femi Adigun (Akinyele), Joseph Omoniyi (Ibadan South West), Abiola Christopher (Saki East), Abisoye Salaudeen (Ogbomoso South), Muili Lakondoro (Ido), Fatai Awoyoola (Lagelu), Raheem Yekinni (Iwajowa), Badmos Adesoji (Ogbomoso North), Oyinloye Afeez (Ibarapa North), Tajudeen Okunlola (Saki West), Sikiru Ibrahim (Olorunsogo), and Lasisi Mufutau (Kajola).

Adeyemo said, “The new executive committees at all levels have enormous tasks before them, and now is the best time for them to set forth. We have a lot to do in the areas of sustaining unity, integrating new members, ensuring members’ welfare, as well as engaging, sensitising, and mobilising voters.

“Without mincing words, the new Exco members will be at the forefront of actualising these daunting tasks, and we shall not disappoint as individuals and as a team.

“While we are not unmindful of disagreements in a few local government areas, we want to assure members that all genuine complaints will be addressed by a Peace Committee, which is due to be inaugurated on Monday.

“Despite the fact that we have achieved so much through our reconciliation efforts, we shall continue to listen to individual members of the party who have genuine cases against one another as fellow party faithful.”
