The Enyioha Foundation is putting smiles on the faces of the youth of Ibeku land in Abia State.
This is coming as the NGO has unveiled a STEM Scholarship Programme aimed at empowering the youth through education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
According to the Foundation’s founder, Samfrank Abarikwu, beneficiaries will receive financial assistance, mentorship and access to learning resources to help them excel in their chosen fields.
He stressed the importance of investing in young people, particularly in critical sectors that drive innovation and economic growth.
“We believe that the future of our community lies in the hands of our youth. By investing in STEM education, we are not only opening doors for individual success but also building a foundation for innovation, growth and long-term development in Ibeku land and across Abia State,” Abarikwu said at the launch.
The founder commended the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, for what he described as significant strides in repositioning the state’s education sector.
In his words: “We acknowledge and commend the giant strides of Governor Alex Otti in advancing education in Abia State. His efforts continue to inspire initiatives like ours, as we collectively work towards empowering the next generation of leaders in our communities.”
The scholarship is open exclusively to indigenous Ibeku youths who are currently admitted into recognised tertiary institutions, and are pursuing STEM-related disciplines.
While calling on eligible candidates to apply, the NGO urged young people with passion for STEM and desire to contribute meaningfully to their communities, to take advantage of the opportunity.
Applications for the programme are now open, with interested applicants advised to follow the official guidelines released by the Foundation.
