Nigerian musician and award-winning songwriter Brymo has stirred controversy after sharing a strong opinion about relationships and apologies.

The ‘Ara’ crooner argued that it is wrong for a man to apologise to a woman when she is at fault, insisting that such actions come with consequences.

Taking to his Instagram page, Brymo wrote, “Nobody deserves to suffer than men who apologise to women when the women are wrong.”

“And suffer they will from here, and for the rest of humanity’s earthly existence,” he added.

His comments quickly triggered mixed reactions online, with many criticising the statement as overly harsh and dismissive of real-life relationship dynamics.

Some social media users argued that relationships require compromise and emotional intelligence, noting that apologies are not always about blame but about maintaining peace and understanding.

Others, however, defended the singer’s stance, saying he was highlighting situations where men take undue responsibility in relationships.

The debate continues to gain traction online, further placing Brymo at the centre of yet another controversial public conversation.
