Senator Solomon Adeola, widely known as Yayi, has built a reputation as “the people’s choice” in Ogun State ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election. His appeal is not the result of slogans alone. While his political career began in Lagos, the man in question carefully cultivated his ancestral Ogun base, aligning with state and national leaders, including Governor Dapo Abiodun and President Bola Tinubu. Recent polls, media recognition, and awards, including the 2026 Man of the Year honour, have reinforced Yayi’s public standing.
