Music artist Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, claims that Nigerian parents do not punish children who contribute financially to the family.

He made the assertion in a recent exchange with content creator Enzo.

The musician suggested Enzo get a tattoo like his, but the content creator replied his mother would not agree.

He recalled how his mother kept malice with him for days for braiding his hair. Rema then urged him to work harder, claiming that parents don’t chastise children who are breadwinners.

Enzo: “My mum won’t let me get a tattoo. The time I did braids, she didn’t talk to me for days. It was bad.”

Rema: “Don’t worry, you just need to hustle a little bit more. Wait till you cash out big. Nigerian parents don’t advise breadwinners.”

Rema previously revealed that he has been the breadwinner for his family since he was a youngster, following his father’s death.

He revealed that at the age of 17, he made his first million and gave it all to his mother.
