Renowned singer Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, has spoken on the ongoing massacre in Benue State, calling the development a national emergency.

In a video uploaded online, 2Baba stated that his heart was heavy and added that he was speaking with sadness and anger over the current situation in his state.

While lamenting that the crisis has to stop, the ‘African Queen’ crooner pointed out that everyone should be involved in the fight against the insurgents.

“My heart is heavy. I’m terribly sad, terribly angry. It’s become a national emergency, what’s going on in Benue State.

“I cannot wrap my head around… I don’t even know what to say at this point in time cos it’s gonna be business as usual.

“Hey, we condemn the killing. This has to stop! It has to stop. It has to involve everybody, every stakeholder in this country. This is not child’s play…,” 2Baba stated.
