In recent times, Nollywood has witnessed a wave of celebrity weddings, with actresses like Ruby Orjiakor, Ibiwari Etuk, and Evan Okoro celebrating their unions in the spotlight. But while fans cheer and social media buzzes with wedding bells, rising actress Ruth Eze is urging caution—especially for the unmarried ones who might feel pressured to follow suit.
In a candid chat with Saturday Sun, Ruth Eze opened up about the trend, calling for personal introspection over societal validation.
It’s better to wait and marry right. A lot of people are rushing into marriage because of social media pressure. My sister, it’s better to wait and marry right oh. Don’t allow the internet to deceive you. Don’t go and marry a madman just to pepper people who don’t even care about you. You might end up regretting it.”
For the Imo State-born actress, the idea of marriage should be more about compatibility and less about competition. “Everybody should calm down. Wait and marry right. And if you want to have a child while waiting, there’s nothing wrong with that. I’ve said my own,” she added.
Despite working closely with male colleagues on set, Ruth Eze firmly ruled out ever marrying one.
“I’ll never, ever marry an actor. Never ever,” she declared without mincing words, hinting that she prefers to keep her professional life separate from her romantic one.
When asked which comes first between love, sex, and money, Ruth gave a cheeky yet honest response.
“Hahaha… I don’t know oh, but I think money. Because even love without money is not sweet at all.”
Often praised for her voluptuous figure, Ruth Eze didn’t shy away from commenting on her physical assets—particularly her bust.
“It’s a beautiful advantage to be busty. At least if I give birth now, my baby won’t lack breast milk!”
