‘Why I pray for world peace’

Pugilist turned-cleric, Peter Oboh has hailed the peace overtures in the Middle East.

For him, it’s a big miracle that a ceasefire is coming after Iran responded to the American attacks a few days ago.

“The truth is that I have great respect for the American President, Donald Trump. I believe he has rediscovered his true calling. I remember when he assumed power saying that God has called him to be a peacemaker and not a destroyer or a warlord. You don’t tell a real man you will beat him, we’ll fight each other rather sounds better.

“A gentleman doesn’t surrender; he’s retiring sounds better. When we respect each other, it fuels positive response from the other person. I hope and pray that peace and grace will touch our world leaders, especially the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to spare Gaza from total destruction and death,” said the ex-British/Commonwealth light heavyweight boxing champion.
