US-based Nigerian comedian, Edo Charles, continues to affirm that talent, grace, and gratitude form an unbeatable trio. Over the weekend, he was honoured with an Achievement Award at The African Film Festival (TAFF), a recognition he proudly dedicated to God Almighty and all those who have supported his creative journey.

In a heartfelt message following the award presentation, the versatile entertainer expressed deep appreciation: “I dedicate this award to my fans, friends, and supporters. Special thanks to God Almighty for the grace to do what I do, and to do it well, to the best of my ability,” he shared.

Renowned for his clean humour, sharp wit, and compelling storytelling, Edo Charles has steadily risen through the ranks in the global comedy and creative arts scene. Beyond the laughs, his work often carries deeper themes of faith, resilience, and purpose, a message he reaffirmed during his acceptance speech.

“Now, it’s no longer just about showing work, it’s about glorifying God,” he declared, signalling a profound shift in his creative mission.

Charles also extended his gratitude to Mr. Big Obi and the entire TAFF management for recognising his gift and platform.

The comedian is also gearing up for two major events this September in Dallas, Texas. First on the lineup is African Praise, set to become the first African gospel concert to be hosted in a predominantly white (96%) congregation—an unprecedented fusion of culture and worship. This will be followed by his signature comedy event, Enter D Lafta, where guests not only come to laugh but also stand a chance to win a free car.
