Justine Madugu, the Super Falcons’ head coach, said his squad is focused on their debut match against Tunisia in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
On Sunday, the West Africans will face the Tunisians in Casablanca.
The nine-time champions are in good spirits coming into the competition after defeating their long-time rivals, the Black Queens of Ghana, 3-1 in a friendly match on Sunday.
They have tasted defeat just once in their last five outings.
Madugu stated that they are focused on the task ahead.
“We are very focused on our realisable and achievable target of Mission X. The girls are ready and are showing real hunger for victory and team spirit is high. We are looking forward to our first match on Sunday against Tunisia,” the gaffer told thenff.com.
The encounter against Tunisia will kick-off at 5:00 pm Nigeria time.
Algeria and Botswana will clash in the other Group B game same day.
