ADC Yet To Endorse 2027 Presidential Candidate – David Mark

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said it has not endorsed any presidential aspirant ahead of the 2027 general election.

The interim national chairman of the party and former Senate President, David Mark, made this known on Tuesday during a meeting with stakeholders from Kogi State in Abuja.

Mark said the ADC is focused on building a party that represents the interest of all Nigerians rather than promoting personal ambitions.

“The ADC has no preferred or favourite presidential aspirant. We are working to establish a platform that appeals to the majority of Nigerians,” he said.

He warned that Nigeria is at a critical point and must be rescued from collapse.

“If we do not rise now and this great ship called Nigeria sinks, we will all be affected,” Mark added.

The former Senate President stressed that all members are equal stakeholders and urged them to unite and present the ADC as a credible alternative in the next elections.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Sheriff, the leader of the ADC’s national legal support group, alleged that non-members were using fake names to file lawsuits against the party and its interim leadership.

He said the group is prepared to defend the party in court, adding that at least 97 lawyers have volunteered to offer legal support.

Sheriff insisted that those behind the legal actions are not registered members in Kogi and Nasarawa states.

Mark urged members to work together and focus on national issues such as insecurity, which the party hopes to address if elected into power.
