Southwest Housing Construction Exhibition and Trade has inducted its new Managing Director and planning committee members ahead of its 2025 edition scheduled to hold in Abeokuta, Ogun State between October 7th and 8th.
While welcoming the new Managing Director, Directors, members of the planning committee and guests at the event, which was held Saturday in Victoria Island, Lagos, the convener Engr. Ola Rotimi – Shodimu stated that “SWHCET is a platform for bringing together industry stakeholders, policymakers, and innovators to showcase cutting-edge solutions, share knowledge, and forge partnerships that can transform the built environment; representing a significant milestone in the journey to promote growth, development, and innovation in the housing and construction sector in Southwest Nigeria.”
In his acceptance speech, the Managing Director Hon. Oyebola Okusanya, a real estate consultant and Immediate Past Chairman of REDAN (Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria), Ogun State Chapter, disclosed that the vision of the SWHCET is built on five core pillars of Collaboration, Empowerment, Innovation, Inclusivity and Sustainability. In his words, “ The five pillars will guide our efforts in transforming the housing and construction landscape in Southwest Nigeria, contributing significantly to the reduction of Nigeria’s housing deficit, eradicating the menace of usage of substandard building materials and providing practical solutions to alternative affordable building technologies”
A major highlight of the event was the induction of some notable real estate practitioners as members of the SWHCET planning committee. Amongst those inducted are Mr. Victor Adesewa Adegbile, Mr. Toba Emmanuel – Coordinators, Programs/Operations, Mr. Gbenga Adeleke Mr. Endurance, Dr. Ebuka Ewuzie, Mr. Adebowale Adebosun, Barr. Adaku , Mr. Adebisi Adeyinka, Mrs. Mabel,
Engr. Paul Achodo, Dr. Kingsley Akadidi and BLDR. Olugbade Fatai Omolade MNIOB,
Present at the event to witness the onboarding of the MD were SWHCET Board Chairman, Hon Lanre Ope, Director, Toye Arulogun, Mrs Oluyemisi Somorin – Dawodu, Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor, on Trade, Senior Special Assistant, Urban Development to Lagos State Governor, Hon Segun Williams, as well as other key players in the Nigerian Housing ecosystem.
