Anita Natasha Akide, often known as Tacha, a reality TV personality, has expressed interest in a political career.
In a recent interview with Ebuka, the BBNaija star, who was born and raised in Port Harcourt, voiced dissatisfaction with the present scenario in Rivers State, emphasising its untapped potential.
Tacha discussed the need of young engagement in government, highlighting untapped potential and skills.
She said, “When I look at other states like Abuja and Lagos, and I see how far they’ve come, and with the potential Rivers State has, they’re not trying to exploit it. It’s just very disappointing because there are so many youths, so many talents there, so many things that if the government can see light into, a lot can happen.”
She noted that it’s more effective to actively participate in the government to bring about change, rather than criticizing from the outside.
When asked about her political ambitions, Tacha revealed that she is working on something and will share more details once she is 70% ready.
Tacha said, “It is something I’m working on. I’ll have to make it 70% done before I can talk about it, because it does not make sense granting interviews like this, talking about the government without being involved.”
