In a remarkable move to spotlight and empower young talents in her home state, Nollywood actress and activist Chioma Ifemeludike has flagged off a comprehensive talent hunt aimed at discovering and nurturing the creative potential of Anambra youths.
The initiative, which blends entertainment and sports, is designed to harness the energy, resilience, and cultural vibrancy of young people across the state.
Speaking on the motivation behind the project, Ifemeludike described it as “a multifaceted engagement platform” with categories in Music, Soccer, and Drama, crafted to give the youths of Anambra a stage to shine.
“We are proud to unveil this campaign as a way of celebrating the incredible talent that exists among our young people. This is not just a competition; it is a celebration of who we are—our strength, our stories, and our spirit,” she said.
The competition is set to offer enticing rewards for excellence. The overall winner will walk away with a grand prize of ₦1 million, while the first runner-up will receive ₦500,000 and the second runner-up will be awarded ₦200,000. Beyond the top prizes, all participants will also receive valuable gift items as tokens of appreciation for their courage and creativity.
Completely free registration will open on July 27 and run through August 16, 2025. This decision, according to Ifemeludike, reflects the organisation’s commitment to inclusion and accessibility, ensuring that no talented youth is left behind due to financial constraints.
Auditions will kick off immediately after registration, beginning on August 16 and running until September 13, in what promises to be four thrilling and action-packed weeks of performances and competition. Following a short intermission for planning and logistics, the opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 20.
