It was a night of glamour, cultural pride, and international camaraderie as Dr. Debby Goodnews Silas, esteemed publisher of Debby Classique Entertainment Magazine, hosted the 2025 edition of the D’CEM Awards Annual Entertainment Industry Global Summit in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Organised under the auspices of Dr. Silas’s renowned media platform, the D’CEM Global Summit serves as a powerful catalyst for cross-cultural engagement, aiming to strengthen ties between Africans on the continent and those in the diaspora. The summit, sponsored by Debby Classique Entertainment Magazine, continues to promote cultural diplomacy through entertainment.

This year’s event, staged in grand style, doubled as a special pre-award meet-and-greet for honorees and nominees of the upcoming D’CEM Awards, set to take place on August 9, 2025.

Prominent African and American entertainers, such as Schelle Purcell, the breakout star from Tyler Perry’s latest Netflix film, STRAW, took center stage to inspire aspiring performers with their true stories of rising to stardom.

Additionally, Ambassador Dr. Moji Oyetayo, Vice President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), offered insightful remarks about the strength and resilience of African creatives while Daniel K. Daniel also captivated the audience with his journey through the film industry.

The 2024 D’CEM The Glamours Crown Reign Queen of Excellence, Brandi Little, delivered a memorable performance that left the crowd in awe as DJ Pretty Eyed SKY kept the energy soaring with a vibrant international mix that perfectly captured the spirit of the night.

The summit attracted an impressive lineup of artists, actors, and influencers from around the globe, including Mahogany Raspberry, an American actress and former Queen of Excellence, who symbolises the love and unity between Africans and African-Americans.
