Dinovate, a storytelling and media innovation company at the forefront of using communication for development and social impact has officially launched the Dinovate Centre for Media and Social Impact (DCMSI), a nonprofit initiative dedicated to uncovering underreported stories, producing evidence-backed media, conducting research, and designing communication that drives meaningful, community-led change.

At a time when authentic representation, inclusive storytelling, and data-driven advocacy are more critical than ever, DCMSI will serve as a bold new platform for changemakers, creatives, and researchers working at the intersection of media, inclusion, development, and policy.

“We created the Centre to go beyond projects. We want to shift narratives, equip communities, and influence systems using the power of story,” said Temidayo Ibitoye, Founder and CEO of Dinovate. “Through DCMSI, we will tell stories that matter and back them with research, training, and action.”

Through a growing ecosystem of programs, DCMSI will:

Support inclusive storytelling and advocacy campaigns that amplify underrepresented voices and spotlight grassroots solutions.

Train the next generation of media changemakers through fellowships, bootcamps, and hands-on experiences under the Dinovate Academy.

Lead participatory research and policy engagement, bridging the gap between stories, data, and decision-making.

Collaborate with development partners, NGOs, and social movements to design media tools for impact; with focus areas including climate adaptation, disability inclusion, education, and governance.

DCMSI’s inaugural projects include participatory photography in crisis-affected regions, storytelling campaigns on statelessness in Africa, and digital storytelling labs for youth in hard-to-reach areas.

Building on Dinovate’s track record of leading media interventions with global organizations, DCMSI will serve as a hub for impact-driven media innovation, providing technical support, co-creating campaigns, and conducting field research that centers human experience.
