The stage is set for the Kingdom Film Festival Summit, an event that brings together innovative and adventurous Christian filmmakers to explore the evolving world of film distribution and growing influence of kingdom films.
With the theme: ‘Unlocking Africa’s Creative Potential: Sustainability, Wealth Creation and Cultural Preservation’, the summit will take place on September 17, 2025 at Landmark Event Center, Lagos.
According to Ewomaoghene Luther-Abegunde, founder, Kingdom Film Festival, esteemed speakers at the summit include Dr. Aisha Adamu Augie, Director General of the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBACC); ace comedian, Dr. Alibaba; Zeb Ejiro, Nollywood pioneer director; Mike Bamiloye, founder of Mount Zion Films; Dr. Ademola Lord Tanner; and Mrs. Ngozi.
Key sessions at the event are ‘Unlocking Africa’s Creative Potential: Sustainability and Wealth Creation, which will have a keynote speaker and panel session focusing on sustainable creative entrepreneurship in Africa.
There will also be a 3-hour session with an expert on African cultural heritage and creative industries, followed by a panel discussion on ‘Cultural Preservation and Promotion through Creative Industries’. The ‘Future of African Creative Industries: Trends, Opportunities and Challenges’ will parade an industry thought leader.
The summit will equally feature a showcase of film archives by Mount Zion Ministries, headed by Mike Bamiloye; and an exhibition of old films by Zeb Ejiro, celebrating his filmography and works over the years.
Speaking, Ewoma stated that the main festival will take place on November 27 and 28, 2025 at EbonyLife Cinema, Victoria Island, Lagos, with the theme ‘Creators Universe: Designing the Future with Films and Technology’.
