Ondo State Police Command has arrested four suspects for allegedly assaulting officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps and causing malicious damage to their property.

The incident occurred on December 16, 2025, along the Akure–Ipetu Road at the FUTA axis, where FRSC officers led by Fadimo Abiola were performing their lawful duties.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Kazeem, disclosed this in a statement released on Thursday.

He identified the arrested suspects as Olamiju Olayinka, 28, male; Olamiju Adeseke, 28, female; Olamiju Timileyin, 27, male; and Toheeb Oluwaseun, 32, male.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the FRSC officers were violently assaulted and their properties maliciously damaged in the course of discharging their official responsibilities.

“The suspects have been charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations,” the statement read.

Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, CP Adebowale Lawal, condemned the attack, describing it as a “grave affront to constituted authority.”

He warned that the Command will not tolerate any form of assault or obstruction against law enforcement officers, and offenders will face the full weight of the law.

He urged residents of Ondo State to remain law-abiding and cooperate with the police by providing credible information that will aid crime prevention and the protection of lives and property.
