MTN Nigeria’s Y’elloTide campaign continued to expand the reach of its festive campaign across eight states in the past week during its traditional season of surprise week, distributing festive packages to thousands of Nigerians in what represents one of the telecommunications sector’s most extensive community engagement initiatives.
The MTN Y’ello Santa teams visited Kebbi, Niger, Plateau, Sokoto, Lagos, Oyo, Rivers, and Enugu states, bringing essential food items, shopping vouchers, and festive cheer to residents in commercial hubs and community locations.
In Niger State, the MTN Y’elloTide activation reached Minna where residents at community hotspots received surprise giveaways. Traders and passers-by collected shopping vouchers and food items designed to support their festive preparations.
The Jos edition of MTN Y’elloTide in Plateau State saw market communities receiving gift packages containing staple foods and beverages. The activation included entertainment opportunities for various age groups, creating an engaging atmosphere throughout the day.

In Kebbi State, the MTN Y’ello Santa campaign distributed gift packs containing rice, pasta, vegetable oil, and other food items to residents at commercial and community locations. The initiative reinforced MTN’s commitment to supporting local communities across the state.
Sokoto residents experienced another round of MTN’s festive community engagement as the Y’ello Santa team visited key public areas with giveaways. The distribution targeted traders, shoppers, and community members across various parts of the city, creating opportunities for residents to engage with MTN representatives about services and holiday offerings.
The Lagos edition continued in Oniru, Falomo, Ogba and Ijaiye axis where market traders, transport operators, received essentials, beverages, and retail vouchers.
Speaking at the Oniru outlet, Modupe Kadiri, Chief Financial Officer of MTN Nigeria explained that participation is open to everyone. “As long as you’re in any venues at that time, you can take part in the lucky dip and by chance get one of the lucky gift items,” he said.
The nationwide MTN Y’ello week also frequently referred to as the season of surprise rollout demonstrates the telecommunications company’s strategy of exciting Nigerians across all regions. The initiative, which includes Y’ello Gifting experiences, represents MTN’s commitment to ensuring Y’elloTide is for all Nigerians, regardless of location.
The MTN Y’elloTide campaign continues through December, with additional surprise visits and giveaways planned for communities across Nigeria as part of the telecommunications giant’s festive season engagement.
